Epistane ( Methylepitiostanol , Hemapolin, Havoc, Epi Plex), also known as 17α-methylepitiostanol or 2α,3α-epithio-17α-methyl-5α-androstan-17β-ol, is a synthetic androgenic-anabolic steroid (AAS) that was first described in the literature in 1974 but was never marketed.

Epistane Descriptions:
Epistane is the 17α-methylated derivative of epitiostanol, an AAS and antiestrogen formerly used in the treatment of breast cancer in Japan, and similarly to mepitiostane (epitiostanol 17-methyloxycyclopentyl ether), is an orally active version of epitiostanol. Due to its 17α-methyl group, methylepitiostanol is considered to have a high potential for hepatotoxicity. Epistane surfaced on the internet as a novel designer steroid in dietary supplements around 2009.
Epistane was identified in 2015 in over 30 products sold online that listed it as an ingredient on their product label. As of 2015, Epistane is reportedly not a controlled substance. However, methylepitiostanol may degrade in some product containers into desoxymethyltestosterone, which, in contrast, is a controlled substance.
Epistane is more than an anti-estrogen, though, as it also binds to androgen receptors in skeletal muscle. As a PRO-Anabolic compound Epistane promotes increases in strength and lean body mass with an anabolic/androgenic value (Q ratio) of 12. With most powerful androgens there is a high risk of the natural suppression of the gonads. Epistane, unlike other PRO-Anabolic compounds that have recently been released, is relatively mild on the gonads and, due to the anti-estrogenic effects and the fact that Epistane keeps LH levels elevated, post cycle therapy becomes a breeze.
All effects combined make Epistane a great compound to produce dry, lean gains in muscle mass with minimal side effects and suppression of the bodys natural androgen production, while lowering the effects of natural estrogen or combating estrogen from endogenous/exogenous sources. This makes it a powerful tool when combined with wet compounds in attempt to increase gains and decrease side effects. One can also not overlook the potential benefit of this compound taken alone, especially when recovering from periods of wet compounds.
Epistane dosages:
A starting dosage is 30 milligrams (mg), and it can go up to 60mg per day in split dosages. Epistane has a 6 hour half life, and since it is harsh on the liver, you should limit the cycle duration to 6 weeks.
Epistane Applications:

How does Epistane increase Mass?
Epistane binds to androgen receptors in skeletal muscle cells and muscle stem cells. When it binds to the receptor site it creates a signal to the cell, telling it to increase protein synthesis and nitrogen retention, thus growth of the cell is certain... Epistane also has an effects on muscle stem cells, which is a very important part of it's actions since those Muscle Stem cells will actually change and fuse with your active adult skeletal muscles, thus increasing the muscles potential for growth and repair and importantly the most desired effect to those using Epistane: an increase in muscle mass.
Epistane has been used as a solid mass builder, but it has a great place in any cutting cycle as well.. In the presence of Androgens the stem cells ability to form new fat cells are greatly hindered. Since this occurs, you now have increased stem cell conversion to muscle cells and a decrease in the conversion of stem cells to fat cells, giving you a more positive effect of nutrition and training, This is perhaps the main reason why Epistane is so effective, even on bulking cycle, because the fat gain is very minimal.
As with most methylated steroids, the half life requires split dosing, and to increase its bioavailability I suggest taking it with foods containing fat.
