Drostanolone (INN; also known as dromostanolone or Drolban), marketed as Masteron, is ananabolic steroid. Drostanolone is a part of the dihydrotestosterone (DHT) family. Its main medical uses include lowering cholesterol levels and as an antineoplastic agent in the treatment of some cancers. It is most commonly marketed as the ester drostanolone propionate (trade name Masteron). Drostanolone has been used for bodybuilding, mainly in “cutting cycles.”

Masteron Enanthate is a drug that I’m proud to say I actually was able to use before it was ever sold on the black market. I was made aware of its existence by the first underground lab who produced it, and they gave me a batch (dosed at 200mg/ml) before it went to market. I think this is a really interesting version of the drug, because the concentration and ester length allow one to get blood levels of the compound to a much higher level than we would see with traditional Masteron (which has the propionate ester attached). Studies by Minto et al strongly suggest the efficacy of more highly concentrated steroids, with regards to peak plasma levels.

The Benefits of Masteron Enanthate:

The benefits of Masteron-Enanthate can largely be summed up in three words, lean and hard. For the performance enhancer and outside of a breast cancer patient largely it will only be performance enhancers of a bodybuilding nature who supplement with Masteron in the first place as it is an excellent physique transforming steroid but it is not a miracle in a bottle. Even though it has a rather mildly low androgenic rating the story it tells is rather different as it will harden one up quite decently. Further, as is by its nature Masteron Enanthate effects overall metabolic activity by directly stimulating lipolysis; no, it is not the only steroid that presents such benefits nor is it the strongest one but these are largely the traits.

As stated, this is not a miracle steroid; a good steroid absolutely but it holds nowhere near the power of say Trenbolone that also greatly promotes hardness and lipolysis among many other traits. However, Masteron-Enanthate is far milder than Trenbolone but before you get too excited you need to understand an important fact. If you’re sitting there at 20% body-fat Masteron-Enanthate is not going to do a lot for you; to benefit from this steroid you need to be fairly lean to begin with as the effects won’t be all that noticeable unless you are. Yes, it may indeed help you lose a little fat if you are at a high percentage of body-fat but there are other things you can use and other things you can do that will be far more beneficial and far more worth your time and money.

To truly benefit from the Masteron Enanthate hormone we need to be below 8% and most will find below 6% to be even better. If we are this lean when we begin using the steroid the hardening affect brought on by both its androgenic nature and ability to have an anti-aromatase effect will be pretty close to amazing. Further, for the competitive bodybuilder looking to drop that last little bit of fat this hormone can be even more useful as Masteron may be the final ingredient missing to do just that.

Masteron propionate VS. Masteron enanthate:

Although originally developed with a propionate ester only, nowadays masteron is also made by underground labs in an enanthate version. Since the esters attached to steroids do not affect the way they work, the only difference between drostanolone enanthate and propionate is the release rate into the blood stream.

Thus, one may choose to get injected every other day or once per week. Those who do not like injections can go with the enanthate version, which takes a longer time to get released, and therefore, needs to be injected less frequently than the propionate version.

However, since masteron’s best use is stacking, it is recommended to choose between enanthate and propionate depending on the esters of other steroids that are cycled. Ideally, one should stack the faster acting propionate with such steroids as trenbolone acetate, testosterone propionate or nandrolone phenylpropionate. On the other hand, drostanolone enanthate is best stacked with such steroids as testosterone cypionate, trenbolone enanthate, or deca durabolin.

Another noteworthy recommendation is to use masteron propionate for cyclesunder 8 weeks long, and the enanthate for longer cycles.

Applications:

Masteron has been used to treat certain forms of breast cancer, and for this, it’s reasonably effective. It was, however, been largely replaced by first through third generation Aromatase Inhibitors such as from Nolvadex to Letrozole. However, in at least one study, Masteron & Tamoxifen produced better results than Chemotherapy with regards to producing immediate objective responses from patients. Another rarely spoken about property of Masteron is that it is actually a weak (though useful) anti-estrogen, and that’s where a lot of its “hardening” properties probably come from, and why it’s so useful in precontest cycles. Masteron may actually interact with the aromatase enzyme to inhibit aromatization (conversion/metabolism) of other steroids into estrogen. Additionally, Masteron seems to be able to interact with estrogen at the receptor site.

Masteron Enanthate typically stacks well with (the newly popular) long estered cutting cycles, which typically include testosterone, and Trenbolone Enanthate. and typically I like to stack it with something with a similar ester length.

The minimum dose with Masteron Enanthate is typically 400mgs/week, although I’ve heard of it being used EOD (Every Other Day).
